Note on WEEE, RoHS

The Directives on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) and the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances (RoHS) in Electrical and Electronic Equipment require producers of electronic equipment to limit the use of hazardous substances in new product and meet certain targets of the re-use, recycling and recovery placed on the market in the EU.  Similar legislation is in place or on the horizon in many other markets around the globe including China, Japan, California, Brazil, and South Korea.

Ensuring that you product remains compliant with local legislation across multiple markets, and managing a global supply base to ensure the continued legal status of all component parts and materials can be a complex and resource demanding task.
